Cost and payment
How much does a conversion cost?
Every layout has a base price and a list of options, all on the layouts page.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. The quote comes after the plan on paper, and it is fixed until you change something.
How do payments work?
In three parts, tied to stages of the build. The process page shows when each falls due.
Can you build to a budget?
Yes. Tell us the number in the quote form and we will say honestly what fits inside it.
Timing
How long does it take?
The process page has the stages, and the next three slots by month.
Can you start sooner?
Sometimes a slot opens up when someone changes plans. Ask when you send your quote request.
Can I visit during the build?
Yes, by appointment. Most people come once around the middle, when the walls are still open.
The build
Do I need to have a van already?
No. If you have one, we build on it. If not, we can source one that suits the layout.
Can you change a layout?
Yes, that is the point of the plan stage. Larch on the builds page started as a napkin sketch.
Can I bring pets, bikes or a very large dog?
Yes. Tell us early and we will draw the space in before anything is cut.
What if something fails after handover?
If something we built fails in the first two years, we fix it. Wear and damage are different, and we will tell you which is which.
Buying a finished van
How do I ask about one?
Use the form on its page. We reply within one working day.
Can I see it in person?
Yes, at the workshop by appointment. Bring your partner and a tape measure.
Can I change a finished van?
Small changes usually, bigger ones sometimes. Ask, and we will say.
Does a finished van get the same workmanship promise?
Yes. If something we built fails in the first two years, we fix it, on the same terms as a custom build.
Registration and paperwork
Who handles registration?
We’ll talk you through registration and compliance for your region.
What paperwork do I get at handover?
A build sheet with the parts list, wiring diagram, water layout and care notes.
What if I move somewhere else later?
Keep the build sheet. It has everything a workshop will want to see.
